I have over 35 years of full time ministry experience – including 19 years serving in Lead Pastor capacities in two separate churches. For over 20 years, I have been actively involved in mentoring/coaching relationships with pastors to develop disciple-making skills and strategies within their churches; to train in biblical conflict mediation; and to often provide personal and marital counseling.
For over 10 years, my wife Patti and I, have together conducted Marriage Retreats as well as Biblical Peacemaking Seminars. In 2011, we joined The Navigators’ Church Discipleship Ministry Team (CDM) that provides coaching, strategic planning, and ministry resources to help pastors and their churches practically fulfill the Great Commandment in the spirit of the Great Commission. I am a graduate of Biola University and Talbot Theological Seminary.
When teams begin to break down, relationships become stressed, pathways for growth are unclear, what can be done? I am committed to helping both prevent and resolve those issues with Relational Wisdom instruction, coaching, and training leaders & teams, both in church and business settings. That is why I became a Certified Relational Wisdom Instructor as well as going on staff with The Navigators as a Certified Life and Ministry Coach. I am now able to provide coaching to leaders and to help them build disciple-making cultures in churches.
As a pastor’s wife for 26 years I was able to oversee the development of women’s ministries with the purpose of cultivating a disciple-making culture. My training and experience in conflict mediation as well as mentoring/coaching in relational wisdom gave me the tools I needed for this ministry. One of the ways I can initially equip is to speak and train individuals and teams in areas of Relational Wisdom, disciple-making and leadership team development.
My educational background includes a BA in Education, Bible and Social Science Missions through Biola University. My post graduate work focused on education.
